If you decide to participate, you will complete an online survey that includes background information about yourself, a typical course that you have designed, and your training and experience. The survey contains 18 brief questions and will take approximately 10-15 minutes to complete.

 

Following the survey, if you meet the stated criteria, you may be invited to participate in an interview. From those eligible, 8-10 educators will be selected for interviews. Because this is exploratory research, it is important to obtain a wide a range of perspectives; participants will be selected from the pool to insure a mix of design perspectives as well as a variety of background and experience.

 

If you are selected, you will be invited to participate in a 60-90 minutes interview and, optionally, to submit some documentation on a typical design. A brief follow-up phone call (approximately 30 minutes) will follow the interview and the review of the transcripts. 

 

Anyone who submits a completed questionnaire may request a summary of the study results.
